national-led ministries in India, primarily India Bible Literature |

Glad Tidings India and India Bible Literature
share the Gospel through:
- Scriptures - seeking to place one million Bibles into the hands of Indians. Bibles are made available at an affordable cost and proceeds are reinvested into other ministry opportunities.
- Unreached People Groups - Transforming an entire Unreached People Group through Bible-Content Literacy courses, Church Planters, and Vacation Bible School.
- Church Planting - funds from the sale of Bibles train and equip national evangelists to establish
new churches throughout India.
- Empowering Women - setting women free from physical and spiritual bondage through the Gospel and literacy courses.
- Christian Education - supplying the curriculum and training of teachers to conduct Childrens' Bible Schools, reaching up to one million children per year.
- Literacy - providing training to churches and other agencies to conduct Bible content literacy classes for adults throughout India.
- Self-Support - assisting churches to become self-supporting by providing income generating enterprises.
- Used Bibles Used Mightily - Do you have old Bibles and Christian Books lying on your shelf? Dust them off and donate them to GTI. You'll be surprised at how mightily they can support the ministries of GTI/IBL in spreading the Word of God.

A donation of
$25 prints 8 Bibles and sends an adult to a Bible-Based Literacy course for 10 months!
A gift of $100/month over one year will print 400 Bibles and provide 6 sewing machines for village women so that they can start a tailoring business and provide food for their children.
From 10 believers to 600 members
and 400 school children in 10 years!

languages which are sold at affordable prices. Proceeds are reinvested in other ministries of India Bible Literature.
- Indigenous Strategy - India Bible Literature, founded and directed by Drs. William and Joyce Scott, is controlled and administered by Indians residing in India. Top 6 executives have each been with IBL 15-40 years, advancing from lower levels to leadership positions within the organization.
- Grassroots Directed - Funding requests originated by local churches, approved and prioritized by India
Bible Literature who also provides accountability within India for ensuring the proper usage of
all funds recieved.
- Low Overhead - Committed to Money for Ministries, not Organizations by maintaining a very
lean organizational structure in the United States.

Why India?
- A country of one billion inhabitants, 80% of whom are Hindu, 13% Muslim, 2% Sikh, & 3% Christian.
- 310 Unreached People Groups having populations exceeding 100,000 with no evangelical church-planting strategy
in place to reach them with the Gospel (next highest country has 35 Unreached People Groups)*
- A secular democracy but with strong radical Hindu influences throughout the country.
- A land of contrast - economic strength and prosperity alongside great poverty; educationally strong
alongside a 62% official literacy rate and in actuality a much lower functional literacy rate.
- Dr Scott and his late wife, Dr. Joyce Scott, began ministry in India in 1950, eventually founding
an indigenous ministry in India - India Bible Literature, which last year distributed on average 52,000
pieces of Scripture per day.
