Visit India and witness the impact of Glad Tidings India
and India Bible Literature through the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ.March 4-14, 2008 Glad Tidings India will be conducting a Women's Mission Vision Trip to India.
|
The following are comments from two women who went on the most recent trip:As we follow where God leads, our lives will be filled with adventure. I felt God call me to India. I am basically a chicken and leaving my three small children and traveling to a country that I know little about (and that's very far away!) was scary.
India is a land of poverty. Poverty to an extent that we cannot begin to imagine. The people that live in poverty are of a low born cast and are illiterate. The majority of them are women and children. Glad Tidings India/India Bible Literature is working to provide Bible-content literacy classes to these women. Once they learn to read, most become believers and are delivered from their bondage. This is where I got hooked... I went to a remote village where only a few families were Christian. As I walked through the dirt street, past the mud homes, I could see who the believers were.
As I have followed God in this adventure, I have recieved many blessings. The best one has been the blessing of seeing all three of my children hear God's call for them to join me in this adventure. They decided that they were going to pray about how they could help. They saved enough money ($127) that 42 bibles were printed in Indian languages and 5 women were sent to attend literacy classes.
Had I allowed fear or reluctance stop me from going to India, would God still get the job done? Yes of course, but then someone else would have gotten the blessing. Would I trade the blessing of seeing my children learn to follow God in such a way? Not in a lifetime!

The trip to India has left an indelible impression... Learning to read empowers Indian women. Since this is coupled with the message of Christian Gospel, women's lives are forever changed and entire families are reached. We would absolutely encourage anyone to take advantage of the unique opportunity offered by this trip. It is a powerful, life changing experience!
