November 9-19, 2009 Glad Tidings India will be conducting a mission vision trip to India.

Cost: $2,500
Includes: Airfare, 2 meals/day in India, Housing, Travel within India

You will see how God is working in Church Planting, Literacy Classes, Vacation Bible School, Christian Schools and through self-help projects. Cutting edge ministry will be experienced. You will be able to participate in ministry, as well.

who went on a trip:

Christina (my 12 year old daughter) and I had an incredibly rewarding experience during our visit to India. It was very uplifting to witness how Jesus was transforming lives and communities through the efforts of India Bible Literature (IBL). Nothing can compare to seeing the joy, love, and positive outlook evident in the children and adults we met at various IBL supported schools and churches. The growth in the number of believers was staggering - one school had grown from about 100 students to over 1,600 over the last 20 years (and dedicated three additional buildings while we were visiting); a church of 600 congregants (including 6 converted witch-doctors) with a school of over 400 children had blossomed in 10 years from a small group of 10 believers who met under a tree in a remote village that wasn't accessible by roads; other churches were dedicating their first building with a vision of reaching out to families and planting churches through the grace of God. Monday, Nov. 9thDepart USA for Delhi.
Wednesday, Nov. 11thArrive Delhi early morning. Rest from trip. Do sightseeing & shopping.
Thursday, Nov. 12thDay trip Taj Mahal / Agra.
Friday, Nov. 13thFly to Calcutta - Visit Mother Teresa's mission. Also meet families and communities blessed with sewing machines & rickshaws provided by Glad Tidings India.
Saturday, Nov. 14thTravel to a more remote area outside of Kolkata. Witness how believers are bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Unreached Tribal Groups through Literacy and VBS ministry.
Sunday, Nov. 15thShare in the Sunday morning worship service of Jota Baptist Church. See a new Christian School just constructed as a result of Glad Tidings India partnerships. Fly to Chennai later in the day.
Monday, Nov. 16thTravel to Tindivanam to visit Peace Blessing Ministry This work is located in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was started in 1981 by John Selvaraj who has partnered with IBL for many years. In the past 26 years, 20 branch churches have been planted with 200 prayer cells established. Over 30 evangelists have been trained by IBL''s Church Planting School and adult literacy programs have been conducted in 50 villages with 7,000 students having graduated. A Christian School was started in 1997 which now has over 300 students and is developing school support for ministry.
Tuesday, Nov. 17thVisit St Thomas Mount where allegedly the apostle Thomas was speared by a Radical Hindu. Shopping in the afternoon followed by dinner at the Breeze Hotel with IBL Executive Director and other IBL officers.
Wednesday, Nov. 18thAM - Visit India Bible Literature headquarters in Chennai, the center from which ministries throughout India are directed.
Thursday, Nov. 19thLeave Chennai and return to USA.
